What Is It? #2

It's been a few days since I've posted anything and it feels like I've been gone for weeks. Funny how attached I've become to all of you in such a short amount of time. Not funny haha, but that in a couple of months I've been able to meet and get to know so many wonderful people through this world of blogging. I'm looking forward to taking some time tonight to get to your sites and see what you've been up to.

The other thing I'm looking forward to is some time off from work. As I've mentioned before it's been really busy for the past few weeks and now I'm ready to relax and enjoy Christmas. Waaaahoooo!!!! It's nice to be able to choose to take time off this time of year instead of hoping the phone is going to ring. As an added bounus the last job paid in cash so that will definatly help with the shopping. Of course if any of you are IRS agents, please put your mind at ease, I will naturally be declaring this as income. Bwahahaha

For now I'll leave you with another mystery photo to guess at. This one might be pretty easy too, but then again I know what it is, so of course I think it's obvious.

not shallow enough for a gold mining pan...

Jeff - Is it the bottom of a fire extinguisher or bottom of a propane or gas canister?

It's the bottom of a bucket and I'm looking down into it. I'm convinced that's what it is.

Well you have me guessing for sure,I thought it might be a bucket too but like Katherine said, it seems awfully heavy for one. I couldn't enlarge the photo, which may or may not help. How about the inside of a bell.

Hey have a nice Christmas break.
My first time here so will have to come back and check things out again
Merry Christmas to you and your family

I'd say some kind of Dutch oven, but it looks like steel instead of cast iron...

Is it ice in the bottom of some kind of bucket. Well, is it punk? Cheers!!

Jeff, I first thought it was the disc brake that would be behind a tire on your car...shows what I know ! But now I think it's the bottom of a bucket like christinker says.

A couple of you are on the right track, but still no correct guesses yet. Keep trying.

I have no idea. Stumped.

At first I thought it was the inside of the barrel of a lock or something.

I'm a pretty sure its something to do with construction.

Salvation Army donation bucket... I promise I won't fill that one with rice....

I'm grateful fate has put you in my bloggosphere. May your holiday be filled with Joy and Peace... and may the Salvation Army bucket be filled with donations.

Smooch!

It looks like some kind of heavy duty bucket with something frozen in the bottom. It doesn't look like water.

That's my best guess.

The weird thing is that I think I can see the shape of a basketball player getting ready to dunk the ball...just in the lower center part of the whatever it is in the bottom.

Jeff, it's true that those of us who visit each other and comment to each other start to feel much like family, without the squabbles. So thanks for the idea about the Home Deport gift card - it would be a winner of a gift, I am sure of that.

A metal melting pot, possibly for lead, babbit, or one of the low temp melt metals..

I've posted the answer for you.

Oswegan has added a good clue, construction related and if you read my previous post you'll probably figure it out.

Lilli & nevada- Thanks for comming by.

And to all of you my friends thats for your ideas.

Ya'll rock!

oops, that is 'thanks for your ideas'.

Edit mode for comments would be nice, wouldn't it?

Well, I take a day off and see what happens? I miss out on the guessing game. Oh well, perhaps next time. I know what it is now. :)
