I'm Alive!

Holy Cow it's been a while since I've sat down and put anything together on this blog. After posting almost daily for a few months, to stop for over a week seems like a lifetime.

Part of the reason for my absence has been the huge amount of work that has been coming my way lately. This has been a real boost to both my attitude and my bank account. With the extended rainy season here in the Pacific northwest, the rising gas prices and the downturn in the economy, the work wasn't as plentiful as if has been in past years, but the past couple of weeks have been a real turn around. Yeah!!!

I've been spending quite a bit of time in the evenings researching new products and other application techniques for the concrete coatings that I do, so this has also left me with a pretty limited amount of time to write or to even cruise by all of your sites to stay in touch. For that lack of communication, I apologize. Over the next week I'll get by to check in on you all and say hi, but if you don't see me right away know that it's nothing you've said or done, I'm just simply stretched a bit thin right now.

I know some bloggers will pack it in when time gets crunched, but that's not my intention. I just have to strike a balance between family, work and friends. I'm sure everyone reading this can relate to that statement in some way.

Thank you to those that have come by to check-up on me via comments or emails. It's greatly appreciated and let me apologize again for my extended silence. I probably should have put some kind of short post up before, that said all is well , but like most things in life, hind sight is 20/20.

More to follow in the near future...promise

So glad your absence as been for a good reason (yay! More work = more money!) and not for a sad reason. Write when you can; I'll be here. Google Reader does wonders for alerting me when a new post is up.

You're alive? So what? You're STILL a loser.

Yay...you're ALIVE!!!

GREAT hearing from you, buddy!

And SOOOO happy that things are abundant in the "work department."

Hey...you've gotta work while the work is there...so I totally understand. Even for me the past 10 days have been exhausting with the Mother's Day holiday.

Thanks for letting us know all is well...and no worries about visiting our blogs. Take care of your family and business first.

Great seeing ya, Jeff!

Work first, Blogland Second. One more thing about life that just isn't fair. :^D

Glad to hear that all is well and the dough is rolling in. I love Gene's comment. He doesn't cut you a bit of slack, does he.

Be blessed.

It's always good to be busy. Even if it does get in the way of really important things like blogging sometimes. ;-)

Been there! You just have to give yourself permission to take time off without feeling the obsessive need to apologize. Life happens =)

Good to "see" you Jeff! Not sure what types of concrete coatings you do, but I happen to work for a manufacturer of those types of products (a National Company). I'd be more than happy to help you out with your research if I can!

Glad to hear all is well. We all get busy and swamped from time to time. I was so in the midst of my own forest that I did not realise it had been so long for you.

Congrats on the abundance of work. I know it makes the bank account very happy.

Jeff, don't apologize for not writing. You're working, got family & friends to spend time with and are alive! You're doing damn well, IMO. While I look forward to your blogs, I'll be patient and content knowing that you're doing well.

Your brother loves you so much. What a guy! LOL

Congrats about work being really good and busy. Even though it means less blogging I hope work keeps up because it means more money and a padded bank account is *never* a bad thing.

No worries. It's good to have the work. And certainly finding balance with family and other obligations is important. I haven't started paying bloggers to stop by or anything and not a whole lot is new and exciting so you really haven't missed that much. ;)

Good to hear from you Jeff. I'm glad you're able to keep yourself busy!

Since I am home all day -all nite too -with absolutely nothing pressing to do but cook supper and tend to the little grandson from time to time -and yet, I can't keep up with my blog, others posts, etc., I certainly would be the last person who would -or should -say anything out of line to you with a job, hobbies, family, kids, all of those things to deal with all the time! Do what you have to do, do what you can manage with the blog stuff. No one's gonna run you out of town on a rail or drop you like a hot potato either if you don't visit all the time. I'm happy for you that your business is perking away for you -as I'm sure you are too!
