Not Feeling It

I'm not deleting the blog, but I'm also not feeling motivated to do anything with it either.

I'm in a funk of late. Don't feel like writing, nor much like reading.

I'll keep the site on the airwaves in hopes that motivation will strike again.

Until then, Ciao.

Hi Jeff~

I just stopped by to wish you a Happy Easter.

Was wondering how you've been.

Sometimes these times are periods of motivation brewing, so take all the time you need, bud!

Miss ya, but I understand.

Take care

I think a lot of us have similar feelings about writing and inspiration. I feel guilty when I spend too much time on the blog. Other days I am just not inspired.

Do what you need to do. I understand completely.

Happy Easter Jeff.

An extended break could be the ticket. Enjoy time with the family.

I'll keep you in my reader.

Be well.

Hey Jeff! Just a quick note to let you know that, like Travis, I'll keep you in my reader and hope to find you back at some time.

Take care - enjoy your family - get those passions and priorities in order!

Hi Jeff,
Every writer goes through a funk occasionally. Don't stop, take a break, you have way too much talent!

I'm keeping you in my reader also, bro.

I understand the funk, I truly do.

May you be enjoying a blessed Easter with your lovely crew.

Pink puffy heart ya,

your little sis - whether you blog or not.

Now Jeff, how can you be in a funk what with The Sound of Music being shown on T.V. last night? I'm sure you watched it all the way through and now you're all better again. Well, if not, come on over this afternoon and we'll fill you up with comfort food. The red bowl is full and that Honey Baked Ham is lookin' good. But, if your fans are missing one of the Bach brothers, they might want to pay a visit to Gene's blog, Turning The Pages of Life, and give a listen to the song he just recorded. I'm sure he'd welcome some feedback. "Grump, grump" said the frog. "Cheer up, cheer up" said the bird. Doncha just hate when I say that?

I love the philosophy of this person who came up with "Blogging without Obligation." It shouldn't be a chore. And when you have something to say, we'll be here. And Happy Easter! :)

Well, make it so long not good bye eh?

I know how that feels. I am starting to write a bit more often now after a few months of being in a "funk" as you say. I had to go private - did you get your invite? Pop over some time when you can. If you didn't get your invite and want one - email me because I am sure I invited everyone who visited me. I hope so anyway. Bloggers are not being filtered out of my private blog, just nosey neighbours.

Email is sheeyahdeeliteATmsnDOTcom

Don't be away too long. Reading OR writing. :)

I can fully understand the not inspired thing, that's why I started blogging..(bizarrely).. Too much of anything can become a chore, no matter which way it's approached from. Sometimes a rest is as good as a change!.. will keep an eye out for you when you get back though!.. cheers!

I can certainly relate. I'll keep you in my Reader, and I'll be around whenever you come back!

Here's a song for you: "Have I told you lately you're a loser?"

Hey, at least it's a song based upon fact.

That happens. A break is often needed to get back in the groove.

Do what you will, but I enjoy your writings about your real life better than fiction- and you are leaving a legacy when you do that..

I wondered where you were. I hope it is only a writing funk and not a personal one. Keep the blog. Post a comment when you feel like returning. I miss your writing.

We all hit these kind of days and seasons. Take care!

Certainly your call, sir--but.....

I'd like to say 'leave it alone' and just step away from the computer.
Cuz it's not just words on a page that you delete when you push that button, kwim?

Yeah....I know you know what I mean.....

I don't think there's a one of us who can't 'relate' to "ain't nothin' happenin'...". I never run out of material cuz I write for me. Sometimes I just have more stuff I need to talk to myself about than others. (yes....I answer--pfffftttt!!!)

Take what you need. I'm all for that everytime, with anyone who needs it.
Step away and do what you need to do for you.

If deleting is the answer....(not trying to instill guilt or anything, but....)you'll have some really REALLY sad people.

<-- will be one of 'em

Just leave your site up, I still have so much of you blog to read. You know I am a woman of few words, so sometimes silence is ok. Sometime I give myself permission to just be and not always have to be doing. candace

Hi there Jeff. I wanted to stop by and see how you are doing. Not to worry. we all go thru ups and downs in writing and internet time. I pray you and your family are doing well now that March is behind you.
Have a blessed day

Hope everything is OK with you and yours and that this phase will pass really soon. I think we all go through something like this every now & then.

I have been there, Jeff. When if feels like a job, stop it till it feels like fun.

Jeff: missed you of late on the Wordzzle scene. Now I understand why. Don't sweat it man, we all go through a writing funk sometimes.

Remember that many of us enjoyed your wit and writing talent.

See you around.

Rich

PS - i recommend a good cigar and an adult beverage to cure the funk.

San said...

Jeff, the funk is going around. But I'll keep checking back to see what you come up with.

I can so relate to your funk. Must be in the air or something. Sorry I have been such a bad visitor.

Love your washer and dryer. My friends just spent mega bucks on a new one. All evidence is that besides working really well it will pay for itself in water and electric savings in about a year. Pretty good deal when you get over the shock of spending the money upfront.

Maybe it's Spring fever? I have been behind on my reading (Hello... obviously since you posted this on the 11th). I swear I wake up sometimes and think "I need to read so and so's blog tomorrow. I haven't checked on them forever." Weird huh?

I hope you enjoy your break and get lots of blog fodder for when you start again. Be blessed Jeff!
