A Broken Record

It seems like all of my far and few between posts lately have the same theme. . . I'M BUSY!

Dang, I feel like a broken record.

I started the comment story a couple of weeks ago and have only managed to eek out about a page so far. Partly because all those wild comments are kicking my butt, but mostly because I just can't seem to find the time to sit down for more than a few minutes at any stretch. One of these days I suppose I'll get to it. In the mean time I have to remind myself, "Guilt free blogging Jeff."

In other news, my older (much, much older) brother Gene is going to be a Grandfather. Wow does it feel weird typing that! His oldest daughter Steffani and her Husband Josh are expecting the new arrival in late May. I believe the official due date is the twenty-fifth. This will make me a great uncle. I have of course, always been one, but now I'll have the lofty title to prove it. Bwahahahaha

Good grief, I can't believe she is having a baby. I still remember her being a little girl playing with Barbies and such. Dang, these kids grow up fast don't they? Now she's a young woman preparing for parenthood herself. Congrats my dear!

More to follow when life settles a bit for me. Until then, Ciao

Congrats to Stephanie & Josh. Babies are worth the title us older folks must endure. Don't you just love hearing a baby laugh?

Your brother may get you for that, "much, much older" comment! LOL Take your time and don't worry, we'll still be here.

Congratulations to your niece and her husband!

Boy - I do know what you mean about the "Busy" thing and in my case, I'm not even working as I am now at that magical age of retirement. (Actually, I've sort of been on "retirement" for the past six years due to disability but now, it's official as I am now 65 -going on...., ya know!
And being a great-uncle -almost as good as being a grandparent! You'll love it which will make up for any itsy-bitsy negative age-based thoughts you may be harboring!
Peace!

Guilt free is right Jeff - just take your time! I do. hehe.

Great uncle? Wow. It's like when our kids reach milestones - makes us feel proud and old at the same time!

A broken 45? Now you're REALLY showing your age, Jeff. Bwahahaha!

I know the feeling when your first niece or nephew gets married and/or has a baby. It's kind of a blow to the ego. Now I'm a great-aunt EIGHT times over - whew!

The nice thing about being a great Aunt is that I get to teach them so much silly stuff and I love that!

Congratulations to the family.
