Just a quick post to let you all know I'm still alive and kicking. It's been a busy week around here and between lots of work and getting the boys off to the first week of school, writing and even reading has been on the back burner for a few days. I thought about doing a post about the political conventions, but I generally don't go the political route on this blog and besides, I just did a post about the circus on Monday.
Well, it's about a quarter to four here and that means the beginning of football season is less than an hour away. Cue the music, "Are you ready for some football?..." I for one am. Lisa, who like some of you I'll bet, could give a rip about it. She sees absolutely no value in the whole thing. It's kind of a bummer, cause it'd be cool if she would sit and watch a game with me, but it's just not her cup of tea. Hmmm...can you make that reference about football? Well, at least she doesn't give me grief about spending three hours a couple times a week taking in the games. For that I'm grateful.
OK, time to cut this one short and break out the Dr Pepper and chips. I've got to get my butt molded into the chair before kick-off. I should be back into the swing of things tomorrow and will look forward to catching up with all of you.
Oh ya, for all you ladies out there who don't care for football, here's a little something for you:

Yummy. Thanks for that!
Hubby will be watching football too. His team is the Philadelphia Eagles. He starts off really excited, has such high hopes, cheers them on, etc. Inevitably the season comes to a close and he's unhappy and cursing and they are bums, etc.
He's not one to watch every single sports game, only his teams, and we do have a few t.v.'s so I just let him have his time. I'll poke my head in the room now and then for scores, try to console him when they screw something up, every now and then ask 'HE'S MAKING HOW MUCH?????'.... so why didn't he catch the ball???? You know, what do girls know. LOL
Happy football season!
Mm-Mmmm. You post a little something for us ladies aaaannnny time you like....
Thanks for leaving something worthwhile for us ladies that aren't into football. He'll do. Have fun. :)
I'm so lucky that Pam is as much of a football nut as I am. We'll have matching sofa creases by about week 3.
But only 3 hours a week??? How can you survive??? That's barely one whole game.
Crystalchick- I'm a 49ers fan so cursing at the TV is something I've been known to do on more than one occasion the past few years.
Crazycath- Wanted to be equal opportunity for ya.
Sandee- I didn't think you ladies would argue too much.
Travis- The eye candy for the ladies was an idea I got from you BTW.
I usually catch one game on Sunday and the Monday night game as well. Guess that brings the time to about 6-8 hours during the week.
hummmm...I'm just wondering....
What did you google to get that last photo?
I like all the WOOD in the background.
Lions did OK in preseason- we''ll see if they revert to form when the game counts...
Ahem, Jeff...just because we don't care about football doesn't mean we don't like the cheerleaders. I think they need more on screen time! :)
Ron- If those muscles are enhanced by using steroids, that WOOD in the background may be all that stands out...or up!
Buffalo- I actually didn't watch any of the preseason this year. As a 49ers fan, I'm just hoping for more "W's" than "L's" this year.
Real Live Lesbian- Cheerleaders? They have cheerleaders at the games? Hmph, I never noticed, I just watch for the competitive nature of the game. Oh, I also read Playboy for the articles...right...
I Am So Ready For Some Football!!!! Go Bills!!! ;-)
Thump, Thump, Thump! Thats what that photo you posted is making my heart do! Ha! Thank You Jeff for the visual! Whoo Hoo!
Okay, I'm done. ;-)
I have something for you at my blog.
Have a wonderful weekend. My tushy will be planted in my recliner at 1:00pm EST on Sunday watching Buffalo beat Seattle! Oh Yeah! ;-)
Hugs,
Kimmie
I'm not keen on football but I do like watching Rugby - it's all those big thighs! Cor!
Thanks for the eye candy. :)
WooooHooo!
Seriously, Ron really is my twin because I thought the same thing he did.
What criteria did you use to select that last shot anywho?
Oh, but did you catch the OSU game?!
OMGosh.......was that a fun game!
ummmmm....so was the Alabama game.
BUT.....yaknow that's just hearsay on my part.
:-D
If you're going to post a special treat like this for the ladies every time you write about football, I'll be here. Who needs football??!
Just sayin'!
Well, this is one woman who is sooooooo excited about the start of football season.
GO COLTS!!!!!!!!
No way, Jeff, did you just throw in EYE CANDY on your blog?! I'm in shock.
Glad to know you're alive and kicking. :o)
I'm a big football fan...and I liked that little bit of honey in the picture...
