You said it and the photos demonstrate the high cost beautifully.

One of the things I hate about human nature is the warlike aspect of it.

"Those who fail to remember history..."
I hear people talking/writing about not dwelling on this kind of "stuff," but it's exactly what our fellow citizens need to see.
I'm so grateful to all who have fallen in the line of duty.
~~~Blessings~~~
Annie- War always brings grief with its victories
Mel- Thanks
Roger- Appreciate the visit
Katherine- Remembering is painful but necessary
Travis- Thank you for serving our country
Gracie- Hopefully our past motivates us to make a better future
Odat- I remember standing in Arlington National about twenty years ago when I took the 2nd shot. I didn't know a single soldier who was buried there, but I was overcome with emotion and wept for them all.
Matt- Thanks
Songbird- We are fortunate
Sandee- The ultimate price
Oswegan- Thanks, there scaned from photos I took twenty years ago in D.C.
