Here's a blast from the past. The other day when I took a picture of my ridiculously expensive light bulb for the TV, it reminded me of the guessing game I used to post here on occasion. Looking through the archives showed that the last time I did this was back in July. Wow, time flies.
Knowing there are some new readers since that time, here's how it works: Below you will see three items pictured at a very close up perspective. Can you guess what they are?
I will post the answers along with an expanded view picture of all three tomorrow.

#2 It's a lunchbox that everyone had back in the 50s and 60s. The metal part is where the thermos goes. Oh I so know this one.

With regard to #1...Because of the clue, I started thinking space..outer..space shuttle! I thought it resembled the ends of the booster rockets, but alas, after googling tons of pics, none match up. However, it could be the actual shuttle itself. But, I couldn't find the scientific term, so I will call it the Space Shuttle's exhaust pipe! There...that's my guess and I'm sticking to it!
wow... those are hard! I will need to think about it a bit...

Never was good at guessing stuff like that. But the first could be a rocket engine and the second a lunch box.
