It Was A Spooktacular Night

I know it's November 3rd an Halloween is already in the books for this year, but I had to work until midnight the past couple of nights, so this post is a little late getting up. Still I wanted to share a few photos of our haunted house. We had soooooo much fun putting this one together.

Walking up to the garage.

 We nicknamed him "Scary Guy"
No one could figure out if he was real or fake

It's all fun and games until someone loses a head!

Some ghosts and bats to greet the guests

Anthony and I made the coffin and then put a corpse with glowing eyes and rats munching on him inside. Add a few candles and some dead flowers and you've got a fine looking dead guy.

A few heads and masks

The deranged doctor's lab

Much better at night

The Mad Scientist's Lab

Lisa ready to do a few experiments in the lab

We also had a fog machine going and some spooky music playing which really added to the effect. It was a ton of work getting everything put together, but well worth it listing to all the kids (and some adults too) when they went through.

Ohhhhh........what great fun! Yeah, I know about 'all that work for one night'.
FUN!! That's what I remind myself.

Down the block we have two houses that jointly put on doings. I managed the front but didn't go in the back yards where things on pulleys appeared, remotes made stuff pop up and people jumped from the darkness.....all to the screams of the big people who had great fun.

Snow White and I did good with the monsters in the car with the stobe light going.....and THEN the broom started dancing behind us. Nana jumped, Snow White demanded 'UP UP UP' and the good times turned into being carried the rest of the way home. And I don't mean me.....LOL Though, had someone offered, I'da taken 'em up on it! ;-)

Definitely worth the work. Just like the Mad Scientist at work.........worth it!

Vinny- Sounds like you've been pretty busy lately. Understandable to take a pass this year.

Jeni- Every year it gets a little more so too.

Ron- Thanks. It was a howling good time.

Mary- Lisa was both beautiful and creepy all at the same time.

Mel- We had a few adults that wouldn't come in too. Glad you had a fun one this year.

Great job Sir! I've always wanted to put something like this together. I've just never had the room to do it.

One of these years, maybe.

Travis- It seems to get a little bit bigger each year, but at this point, we've pretty much maxed out our space.

A fun family project that entertains the public, too. What more could you want. Amazing! I'm sure watching the reactions was a ton of fun!
