While at my brother Gene's house, I went to the kitchen sink to get a drink of water and discovered this:
His wife Cynthia was cleaning out the aquarium and put the goldfish in the sink as she washed and scrubbed the tank. The picture isn't the greatest in the world, but it gives you an idea of how funny it looked to me.
This other picture is of a birthday cake I recieved from some friends last night. (March 15th was the actual day). Isn't this the coolest cake you've ever seen? How could you not have a great day with a cake like that?
Gross side note... There was so much blue food coloring in the icing that it made my poop turn green this morning! OK, I know... More information than any of you needed.

Hey, great information...didn't know it would do that...mmmmm. Man, there sure was enough on it...my sugar level would have peaked and I'd probably passed out.
Thanks for the visit man...I'll be back!
I knew that before you said it!!! I've got three kids and have had the panicked "MMMMOOOOOMMMMMM!! Something is wrong! come here and LOOK!" yell from the bathroom. Yeah. Always fun to look at some one else's blue poop.
Thanks for the Happy b'day wish to Hubby today. I'm glad yours was good too.
Jen
Hey Cookie Monster!
Happy Belated Birthday, buddy!
I'm surprised your poop wasn't ROYAL BLUE!!
Ok...and be honest...did you EAT one of those goldfish?
Good grief, it's been many a year since I've been concerned with the color of your poop, but thanks for sharing . . . I think. What a way cool cake, Jeff!
PSYCHO MOM
Since my posts FREQUENTLY meander all over the place (topical organization is not a strength I possess), I saw nothing in the least bit out of the ordinary or strange with your transitions from one topic to another here!
Ha. Cute Cake. Cheers Jeff!!
Once, my wife made a Darth Vader cake for my one sons' birthday- and our Airedale ate the whole thing. Talk about weird poop! Same dog ate a box of crayons- next day crapped in Technicolor...
k.....DEFINITELY toooooooooo much information!
LOL
I'll give that the cake is way cool, though!
And the goldfish in the sink.....been there done that.....and lost one down the drain. Even with my mostest carefullest way of tryin'......fishie went bye bye.....
*sigh*
Did you look in the sink and think, "Not really enough for dinner?"
Great cake, BTW. Glad you enjoyed it even if you had rainbow poop!
Hm, blue and brown make green? I didn't know that before today. Happy Birthday!
Happy belated birthday Jeff!
Are you sure that wasn't dinner thawing in the sink?
Great cake, and thank you so much for sharing about the after-effects ... I feel like I *really* know you now!
I ADORE that cake! Too cute! I want a piece!
I wouldn't be surprised at all if there is a birthday cake like that in my future... My kid LOVES Cookie monster!
So funny, too, was seeing everyone's blue teeth! As though, soon enough, if the lights were turned off, our mouth's would glow an ominous blue!
That's an awesome cake. Nice to know that there are people who can appreciate fun cakes for grown ups, too!
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday dear Jeff,
Happy Birthday to you.
The cake is indeed a work of art, but the poop thing was WAY. TOO. MUCH. INFORMATION. Have a great day. :)
There ya go....green poop after a festive birthday...I see nothing wrong with that!
it was one of those "Make your teeth hurt" sweet ones.
Jenifer- I'm sure every parent can relate to this one.
Ron- Nope didn;t eat one...too many bones.
Mom- Thought I'd provide a trip down memory lane for you.
Jeni- One of my favorite lines is, "I'm schizophrenic and so am I."
Matt- I asked if they were trying to say something about only putting four candles on it.
Buffalo- That's funny!
Mel- The classic burial at sea.
Nitebyrd- This cake made me laugh my butt off twice!
Annie- Consider this a public service announcement.
Dana- To know me is to love? me.
Real LL- Welcome back! There are still a couple of pieces left. Come on over.
Doc- The Cookie Monster was one of my favorite Sesame Street character.
Kevin- I about fell over when Scott smiled and I saw his blue-green teeth.
Songbird- They are a great bunch of friends!
Sandee- Wahooo...a song! Just be glad I didn't take a picture of the poop too. Not that I didn't think about it.
Bond- In my youth that probably would have been a bad thing, but at 42 it is somehow ok.
oh my!
for a minute I thought I was on Matt's blog....
next thing you'll be doing HNT....ha!
Katherine- I don't think the world is ready for even a quarter of my nekkidness!
UGH! T-M-I Jeff!
That is the coolest looking cake though. You know what? When my mother-in-law had her 60th birthday, someone had a black 'Over the Hill' cake made for her. The frosting turned everyones lips and teeth black!
The fish in the sink, that certainly would have made me do a double take. Then I would have made some comment about Gene's latest fishing skills.
By the way...Happy Birthday!
Jules- This one did the same thing in a blue/green look. Man that was funny to see.
when i lived in fla, i had a kiddie pool full of aquatic turtles, and when it would get cold, id bring them inside to swim in one of the bathtubs. it tended to freak people out.
Happy Belated Birthday!
Hey...we share the same month birthday..fellow Piscean! Mine's the 11th...That was the cutest cake!!
Peace
Tequila- Most people pay big bucks to swim with the turtles in the ocean. Maybe you should charge five bucks at the front door and rake in the $$$.
Marilyn- Thank you.
Odat- We're swimming in the same pond!
Oh, you are TOOOOO FUNNY!
But what a NEAT Cake!!!!
