Take a look at the picture below. It has not been edited in any way. No super imposing or Photoshop type of effects were used.
My question is this:
How was I able to get a shot of these pyramids with a real maple tree in the foreground?
FYI, maples do not grow in Egypt

Oh yes, I would love looking at that view...great picture!! Now, really...is it at your backdoor, you lucky Jeff? Oh, and I'll be posting the recipe for the biscuits tomorrow afternoon...even you can can make them!
Sandi
V E R Y clever. I'd say the ``pyramids'' are your neighbours' roofs .....
HA!!!!
As Mr. McMahon has answered...they are NOT pyramids...but the roof's on houses!
Nice try, though!
Great photo Jeff! The rooftops are very well masked!! Have a good weekend!!
that is just... well beautiful.
makes me want to wrap up my hubby, my daughter and myself near a warm camp fire and wish upon the stars...
well except for the power lines of course ;)~
Sandi- I'll be sure to try out your recipe. The view is from my upstairs window.
David- You my friend were the inspiration for this picture. A different view of an ordinary object.
Ron- I was wondering what body part you might see in this shot?
Roger- I'm fortunate to get some pretty cool sunrise shots from the comfort of my own home.
Jahooni- That stinking wire messes up some otherwise great photo oppertunities.
that is your neighbor? I didn't know you lived in Egypt?
beautiful picture Jeff!
My guess is that they are not pyramids...
Where are the sandstorms?
Beautiful sky!
I'd guess the pyramids are roofs also. GORGEOUS photo though! Love it....although, are we sure they aren't giant, Madonna-like conical bras in the distance?
What a pretty sky.
And what a lovely view.....
And how glad I am that Ron kept it clean.....LOL
Those are some mighty erect rooftops! ;)
Ha. Good One Jeff. Sounds like some kind of Pyramid Scheme to me. Cheers!!
What a glorious sky, set off by all the "Egyptian" shapes you captured there.
I was gonna say that you brought the trees with you to Egypt in your luggage... guess I was wrong :(
Nice shot anyway!
Those power lines are close to the maple tree and the "pyramids" too...
Never knew you had King Tut for a neighbor!!
Peace
That's a great shot!!!
Those pyramids seem to have a 'roof' like shape to them.
Katherine- Ya, it's my winter home.
Buffalo- Just not in the traditional way.
Anndi- Tha only sand around here is in the bottom of the riverbeds.
Rhea- If those were bras, they would hold some hold wome big ones!
Leighann- They are definitely proud aren't they?
Matt- Ba dump bump bump! Nice one.
Annie- It's hard to go wrong with a sunrise or sunset.
REH- It's hard getting those things through customs.
Doc- I wish those trees would get with it and go wireless!
Odat- His place is kind of small. We call it the Tut hut.
Sherry- "Who let the dogs out...Roof, Roof, Roof, Roof, Roof."
There's no maple trees in Egypt?
Only kidding I knew that I've been to Egypt.
Great shot, you'll be giving David a run for his money! :)
Great shot. My guess is they are not pyramids (as in Egyptian ones!). Interesting take on a skyline.
Over from David's.
Oh Jeff, I'm so annoyed I missed this little guessing game! You are right, David's blog is an excellent one and his photos are certainly professional, well, he is a professional! But I like this and glad you explained in your most recent post! Thanks! :D
Lol Jeff, backlight can do wonders. But I am cheating because I read your latest post. Thanks for sharing, this is really good photo. Anna :)
Akelamalu- Maple syrup maaaaybe, but definitely no maple trees.
I think I have quite a ways to go to catch David.
